Morning Prayer for September 7
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
Rejoicing in hope
Today’s takeaway: Your hope is kept safe in heaven, so rejoice in it even through hardship.
The hope which is laid up for you in heaven
If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
We must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
Whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
No man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.
Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
The God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead
Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory
By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Prayer
God of hope, fill me with all joy and peace in believing today. My hope is laid up for me in heaven. We enter the kingdom through much tribulation, but You have given me a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus. I have not seen Him, yet I love Him and rejoice with joy unspeakable. So I rejoice in hope, and I rejoice in You always. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
