Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your download, installation and use of the Holy Bible: KJV Daily Verse mobile application (the “App”), developed and published by Omar Davis, an independent developer (“I”, “me”, “my”).

By downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please delete the App and stop using it.

1. License

I grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use. This license is also subject to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

You may not copy, decompile, reverse engineer, modify, redistribute, resell or sublicense the App, its code or its design assets, except as the law expressly allows.

2. Content

The Bible text is the King James Version (1769), which is in the public domain outside the United Kingdom. The daily devotional readings are from C. H. Spurgeon’s Faith’s Checkbook (1888), and the Scripture selections for morning and evening prayer follow Daily Light on the Daily Path; both are in the public domain. I claim no exclusive rights in these public-domain texts.

The prayers, daily takeaways, reflection questions, quiz questions, illustrations, interface design and brand assets are original to the App and are owned by Omar Davis. You may quote short passages for personal or non-commercial use with attribution to the App.

3. Your Notes and Highlights

Notes, highlights, bookmarks and other content you create in the App belong to you. They are stored only on your device; there is no account, cloud storage or sync. Keep a backup of your device if you want to keep them.

4. Quiz Coins

Coins in the Bible quiz are earned by playing and can be used for in-game Tips. They cannot be bought, have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged, and may be lost if you delete the App.

5. Acceptable Use

Do not use the App for anything unlawful, attempt to tamper with or damage it, or extract and redistribute its original illustrations or design assets.

6. Disclaimer

The App and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. I work to keep the text accurate, but I do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or always available.

I am not a pastor or counselor. The devotional and prayer content is for personal reading and encouragement and does not replace pastoral, medical, psychological or legal advice. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services; in the United States you can call or text 988.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or financial damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.

8. Apple

These Terms are between you and me, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

9. Ending Use

You can stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. Your license ends automatically if you break these Terms.

10. Changes to These Terms

I may update these Terms. The date above shows the latest version, and continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
