Morning Prayer for September 30
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
He knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
Today’s takeaway: God knows your way, and He is refining you like gold for His use.
He knoweth our frame
He doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.
The foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.
He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.
I … will refine them as silver is refined, … they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.
Prayer
Father, You know the way that I take, and when You have tested me, I will come out as gold. You know my frame. You do not afflict willingly or grieve Your children for no reason. You sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, watching the fire closely. Make me a vessel for honor, set apart and ready for every good work. I will call on Your name, and You will answer. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
