Morning Prayer for September 28
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
They shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.
Today’s takeaway: You are called by God's name, so run to Him today as your strong tower.
O LORD our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name.
We are thine: thou never barest rule over them; they were not called by thy name.
All people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.
The LORD will not forsake his people for his great name’s sake: because it hath pleased the LORD to make you his people.
O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.
Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name’s sake. Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is their God?
The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
Prayer
LORD our God, You put Your name on Your people, and You bless them. Other masters have ruled over me, but now I will remember only Your name. I am called by Your name. You will not forsake Your people for Your great name's sake. Help me, O God of my salvation, for the glory of Your name. Your name is a strong tower; I run into it and am safe. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
