Evening Prayer for September 27
Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

Yea, hath God said
Today’s takeaway: Hold fast to what God has said, even when a convincing voice tells you otherwise.

Prayer
Father, the serpent's first move was to question Your word. Jesus answered every temptation with, It is written. Today I heard voices that contradicted Your word, some from outside and some from inside my own head. Hide Your word in my heart so I will not sin against You, and let me answer those voices with it. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
