Morning Prayer for September 26

About 2–3 minutes · 13 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

A God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

Today’s takeaway: God is perfectly just, yet He laid your guilt on Jesus so you could go free.

Him that judgeth righteously

We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

The soul that sinneth, it shall die.

Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd

The LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

Mercy rejoiceth against judgment.

The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

A just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.

Just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus

Prayer

LORD, You are a God of truth, just and right. Every one of us will give account to You. But You laid on Jesus the iniquity of us all, and at the cross mercy and truth met together. Let me be both truthful and merciful today, as You have been with me. I am justified freely by Your grace. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
