Morning Prayer for September 25
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
Let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
Today’s takeaway: Let patience finish its work, because tested faith is more precious than gold.
Now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ
We glory in tribulations … knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope
It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.
Ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance. Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
Our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, Comfort your hearts
Prayer
Father, let patience have its perfect work in me, so that I may be complete, lacking nothing. For a season I may be in heaviness, but the trial of my faith is more precious than gold. Tribulation produces patience, and patience experience, and experience hope. It is good to hope and wait quietly for Your salvation. Comfort my heart and strengthen me in every good word and work. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
