Morning Prayer for September 21
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
We know that all things work together for good to them that love God
Today’s takeaway: God can turn even evil against you into good, as He did for Joseph.
Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.
Ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good
All things are your’s; Whether … the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are your’s; And ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s.
All things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
Prayer
Father, I know that all things work together for good for those who love You. Joseph's brothers meant evil against him, but You meant it for good. You even make the anger of men serve Your praise. All things are for my sake, so that grace may abound. So help me count it all joy when trials come, knowing that the testing of my faith produces patience. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
