Morning Prayer for October 30

About 2–3 minutes · 9 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

Today’s takeaway: Wait quietly for God's help and do not grow weary, because He is not slow.

Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies?

I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.

Shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily.

Wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee.

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD

Let us not be weary in well doing: … in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

Prayer

LORD, it is good to hope and wait quietly for Your salvation. Sometimes I wonder if You have forgotten to be gracious. I have said in my haste that I am cut off, yet You heard my cry. Help me wait on You and not fret. You fought for Jehoshaphat while he stood still. Let me not grow weary in doing good, like a farmer waiting patiently for the harvest. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
