Morning Prayer for October 3
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood
Today’s takeaway: Jesus loved you enough to wash away your sins, so offer Him your whole life.
Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it
Love is strong as death
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace
Ye are washed, … ye are sanctified, … ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
Ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light
I beseech you … brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, You loved me and washed me from my sins in Your own blood. Many waters cannot quench love, and floods cannot drown it; Your love is as strong as death. No one has greater love than this. You bore my sins in Your own body on the tree. I am washed, sanctified, and justified. By Your mercies, I present my body to You today as a living sacrifice. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
