Morning Prayer for October 19
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
The LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
Today’s takeaway: Live to please the LORD, and He can turn even hostile hearts toward peace.
Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.
The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
When a man’s ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.
I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.
Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Prayer
LORD, You will be my confidence and keep my foot from being caught. The king's heart is in Your hand, and You turn it wherever You will. When my ways please You, You make even my enemies to be at peace with me. I sought You, and You heard me and delivered me from all my fears. Blessed is the one whose hope You are. If You are for me, who can be against me? In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
