Morning Prayer for October 14

About 2–3 minutes · 6 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.

Today’s takeaway: Jesus died and rose to be Lord of your life, so live for Him today.

It pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

We thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that … died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

Let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by him do believe in God

Prayer

Lord Jesus, You died and rose again so that You would be Lord of both the dead and the living. You are my Lord. This morning I want to live not for myself but for You who died and rose for me. Show me one decision today where I can put You first instead of my comfort. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
