Morning Prayer for October 12
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them
Today’s takeaway: God has made peace with you through the cross, so draw near and live in that peace.
It pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself
Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity
Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace
Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us.
Prayer
Father, You were in Christ reconciling the world to Yourself, not counting our sins against us. He made peace through the blood of His cross. Your thoughts toward me are thoughts of peace. Though my sins are like scarlet, You make them white as snow. I want to know You and be at peace. You have done all my works in me; ordain peace for me today. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
