Morning Prayer for November 9

About 2–3 minutes · 8 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.

Today’s takeaway: Jesus is the one mighty Savior, who became human and tasted death for everyone.

I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.

There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus

There is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

The mighty God

Made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name

We see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

Forasmuch … as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same

Prayer

Father, You laid help on One who is mighty. There is one mediator between You and me, the man Christ Jesus. I do not have to face today on my own merit. I see Jesus, crowned with glory and honor, and I trust Him with what I will face this morning, especially the things I cannot fix myself. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
