Morning Prayer for November 27

About 2–3 minutes · 9 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

The glory which thou gavest me I have given them

Today’s takeaway: God's glory is seen in Jesus, and He shares that glory with His people.

I saw … the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims: … And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.

Upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness … of a man above upon it.

As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD.

I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.

And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.

No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, Isaiah and Ezekiel saw Your glory, and Moses asked to see it. God has shined in my heart to give the light of His glory in Your face. This morning let me see You more clearly, and let a little of that glory show in how I live and speak today. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
