Morning Prayer for November 24
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.
Today’s takeaway: Jesus calls those who hear and do God's Word His family.
Both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.
In Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
Blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
My meat is to do the will of him that sent me
If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth
Whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, You said Your family are those who hear the word of God and do it. I have heard a lot of Your word. Show me one thing I have heard and not yet obeyed. Give me grace to do it today. I want to be a doer of the word, not a hearer only. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
