Morning Prayer for November 23

About 2–3 minutes · 11 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

Whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

Today’s takeaway: Those who listen to God can live safely and without fear of evil.

Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

His truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Your life is hid with Christ in God.

He that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.

Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, … The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear

Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.

Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

Prayer

Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations. Whoever listens to You will dwell safely and be quiet from fear of evil. I dwell in the secret place of the Most High and rest under Your shadow. My life is hidden with Christ in You. I am the apple of Your eye. Jesus tells me to be of good cheer and not afraid. I know whom I have believed. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
