Morning Prayer for May 4
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear
Today’s takeaway: God's hand is never too short to save, and nothing is too hard for Him.
In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.
Whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.
Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.
Be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me.
Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee
Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us
Shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily.
Prayer
Lord GOD, You made the heavens and the earth by Your great power, and nothing is too hard for You. Your hand is not too short to save, and Your ear is not too heavy to hear. While Daniel was still praying, You sent the answer. Do not hide Your face from me or be far away. You have delivered me, You do deliver, and I trust You will deliver me again. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
