Morning Prayer for May 31

About 2–3 minutes · 7 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

Thy name shall be called … Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

Today’s takeaway: Like Jacob, hold on to God in prayer and trust His promises without wavering.

By his strength he had power with God: Yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him

Staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God

Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.

Lord, Increase our faith.

Prayer

Faithful God, Jacob wrestled, wept, and prayed, and he prevailed with You. Abraham did not stagger at Your promise through unbelief. Jesus said that all things are possible to the one who believes. My faith is small this morning. Like the apostles, I ask You to increase it. Help me believe, and let me see You do what You have told me You will do. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
