Morning Prayer for May 27
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
Today’s takeaway: The LORD is good and a strong refuge, and He knows those who trust Him.
Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency!
As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?
If any man love God, the same is known of him.
The foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
The LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
Thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.
Prayer
LORD, You are good, a stronghold in the day of trouble, and You know those who trust in You. That is what comforts me most: You know me. You told Moses that he had found grace in Your sight and that You knew him by name. Your way is perfect, and Your word is tried. You are my refuge and my fortress; in You I trust. Your mercy endures forever. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
