Morning Prayer for May 18
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
As the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself
Today’s takeaway: Jesus has life in Himself and shares it with you, so death does not have the last word.
Our Saviour Jesus Christ, … hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel
I am the resurrection, and the life
Because I live, ye shall live also.
We are made partakers of Christ
Partakers of the Holy Ghost
Partakers of the divine nature

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. … who liveth for ever and ever
The blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; Who only hath immortality
Unto the King eternal, immortal, … be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, You are the resurrection and the life. Because You live, I will live also. One day, in the twinkling of an eye, I will be changed. That hope is for today, not just for someday. Let me face my work, my worries, and my relationships this morning as someone who will live forever with You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
