Morning Prayer for May 17
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
I am the LORD your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them
Today’s takeaway: God calls you to walk as Jesus walked, and He gives you the power to do it.
As he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation
He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.
Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.
Whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God
Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes
Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
The God of peace, … Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ
Prayer
O LORD, teach me the way of Your statutes. If I say I abide in Christ, I should walk as He walked. I am not sufficient in myself to do anything; my sufficiency is from You. So I will work out my salvation with fear and trembling today, knowing it is You who works in me both to will and to do what pleases You. Make me holy in all my conduct. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
