Morning Prayer for March 9

About 2–3 minutes · 7 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

The living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy

Today’s takeaway: Every good thing comes from God, so do not forget Him when life is going well.

Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day: Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein

Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God

For it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth

Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.

They got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.

There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.

Prayer

LORD our God, everything good I have came from Your hand. You give the power to get wealth. Guard me from the quiet pride that forgets You when things go well. Unless You build the house, my work today is in vain. It was never my own arm that saved me; it was Your right hand and the light of Your face. Lift up the light of Your countenance on us today. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
