Morning Prayer for March 7

About 2–3 minutes · 7 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

Thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name

Today’s takeaway: The LORD loves His people as a bridegroom loves his bride, and nothing can separate you from Him.

This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; … but thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah, … for the LORD delighteth in … thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.

He hath sent me … to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness

I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, … as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?

Prayer

Lord, Your word says my Maker is my husband. I cannot get over that. I was once called Forsaken, and now You call me Your delight. You give beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and a garment of praise for a heavy spirit. You have clothed me with salvation and promised Yourself to me forever. Nothing can separate me from the love of Christ. Let me live today as someone deeply loved. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
