Morning Prayer for March 6
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
Preserveth the way of his saints.
Today’s takeaway: The LORD orders the steps of His people and works all things for their good.
The LORD your God, … went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to shew you by what way ye should go, and in a cloud by day.
As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings: So the LORD alone did lead him
The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
We know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
With us is the LORD our God to help us, and to fight our battles.
The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy
Prayer
Faithful God, You went ahead of Israel in the wilderness, with fire by night and a cloud by day. Go ahead of me today. Like an eagle stirring up her nest, You sometimes unsettle me so I will learn to fly, but You spread Your wings underneath me. Order my steps. If I fall, hold me up. Work all things together for good, and let me hear You rejoicing over me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
