Morning Prayer for March 24
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
Believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
Today’s takeaway: Like Abraham, believe God's promises, because nothing is impossible for Him.
He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead
The promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
The just shall live by faith.
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
Our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.
With God nothing shall be impossible.
And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.
Prayer
Faithful God, Abraham believed You, and You counted it to him for righteousness. He did not stagger at Your promise, even when it looked impossible. There is a promise I am tempted to give up on. Give me faith like his this morning. Nothing is impossible with You. Help me hold fast today without wavering. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
