Morning Prayer for March 17
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
He shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.
Today’s takeaway: Jesus' spotless sacrifice makes you acceptable to God, so offer Him your whole self today.
Ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree
He hath made us accepted in the beloved.
As lively stones, … built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever.
Prayer
Holy Father, the Israelite laid his hand on his offering, and it was accepted for him. This morning I lay my hand, by faith, on Jesus. I was not redeemed with silver or gold but with His precious blood. He carried my sins on the tree, and I am accepted in the Beloved. So I present my body to You today as a living sacrifice. Keep me from falling. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
