Morning Prayer for March 13
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus
Today’s takeaway: Jesus stands between you and God as the one Mediator who always prays for you.
Forasmuch … as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same
Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
We have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous
In Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace
By his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
Prayer
O God, there is one mediator between You and me, the man Christ Jesus. He took on flesh and blood to bring me near. I was far off, and His blood has brought me close. When I sin today, I have an Advocate with You, Jesus Christ the righteous. He lives forever to intercede, and He is able to save completely. So I come to You through Him this morning, not through my own record. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
