Morning Prayer for March 12
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
Today’s takeaway: Ask God to turn His face toward you today and give you His peace.
No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
The brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person
The god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies’ sake. Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee
LORD, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.
Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance.
The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.
Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
Prayer
Gracious Father, no one has ever seen You, but Your Son has made You known. In Jesus I see the brightness of Your glory. Make Your face shine on me today and be gracious to me. I do not want a day without Your favor. Let me walk in the light of Your countenance. And let the light of the gospel reach minds that are still blinded, perhaps through me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
