My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

The fruit of the Spirit is love

Today’s takeaway: Love is the first fruit of the Spirit, so love others today as Christ has loved you.

God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Unto you … which believe he is precious

We love him, because he first loved us.

The love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

Ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.

This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

Above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

Walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling

Prayer

Heavenly Father, the love You ask of me today is not something I can produce. It is Your love, poured into my heart by the Holy Spirit. I love You because You first loved me, and the love of Christ presses me forward. Teach me to love the people around me as He loved me, with a fervent love that covers faults instead of counting them. Let me walk in love all day. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
