Morning Prayer for June 9
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
Never man spake like this man.
Today’s takeaway: No one ever spoke like Jesus, so let His words live richly in you today.
Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.
The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary
His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend
All bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth.
He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom
The sword of the Spirit, … is the word of God
The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword
The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ
Prayer
Lord Jesus, no one ever spoke like You. Grace was poured into Your lips, and You knew how to speak a word in season to the weary. Someone I talk to today will be tired. Give me the right word at the right time, and keep me from careless or cutting words. Let Your word dwell in me richly. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
