Morning Prayer for June 8
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
The LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand.
Today’s takeaway: God can bless your work, but never forget that your success comes from Him.
Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways. For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.
Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
As long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper.
Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day
And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.
Is not the LORD your God with you? and hath he not given you rest on every side?
Prayer
LORD, You were with Joseph and made everything he did prosper. Be with me in my work today. Help me trust You, do good, and seek Your kingdom first. As long as Uzziah sought You, You made him prosper, but his success made him proud. Guard me from ever saying my own power got me what I have. You are with me, and You give rest on every side. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
