Evening Prayer for June 7
Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.
God’s Word
Forgive all my sins.
Today’s takeaway: However deep the stain, God can wash your sins whiter than snow.
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.
The Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour
Having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross
Bless the LORD, O my soul
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities
Before you pray
What sin can you thank God tonight for forgiving?
Prayer
LORD, I bless You tonight, for You forgive all my iniquities. Jesus told the paralyzed man to take heart because his sins were forgiven. He has power on earth to forgive sins, and He has forgiven mine. You blotted out the record that stood against me and nailed it to the cross. Though my sins were like scarlet, they are white as snow. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
