Morning Prayer for June 29
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
His commandments are not grievous.
Today’s takeaway: God's commands are not a burden, because love for Him makes obedience a joy.
This is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life
Whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
My yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
If ye love me, keep my commandments.
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.
I delight in the law of God after the inward man
This is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another
Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, Your commandments are not a burden. Your yoke is easy, and Your burden is light. If I love You, I will keep Your commandments, and You will show Yourself to me. Your ways are pleasant, and all Your paths are peace. Your command is simple: believe on Your name and love one another. Help me delight in Your law today, and let love fulfill it. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
