Morning Prayer for June 25

About 2–3 minutes · 7 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

When he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Today’s takeaway: One day you will see Jesus as He is and be made like Him.

As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these … might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.

Now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

Christ: … shall change our vile body, … that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.

Prayer

Father, I am Your child now, and it does not yet appear what I will be. But I know that when Christ appears, I will be like Him, for I will see Him as He is. Now I see through a glass, darkly; then face to face. You have given me exceeding great and precious promises. Let that hope shape how I live today. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
