Morning Prayer for June 22

About 2–3 minutes · 10 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

Ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

Today’s takeaway: Your old life died with Christ, and now He lives in you.

How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

He died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

We are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ.

As thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us

Ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

Because I live, ye shall live also.

To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

Prayer

Father, my old life died with Christ, and my new life is hidden with Him in You. How can I, having died to sin, keep living in it? If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, and the new has come. Christ died for me so I would no longer live for myself, but for Him who died and rose again. Let me live that way today. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
