Evening Prayer for June 22
Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.
God’s Word
Behold how he loved him!
Today’s takeaway: Jesus loved you enough to lay down His life, and He loves His own to the end.
He died for all
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
He … liveth to make intercession for them.
I go to prepare a place for you. … I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am
Having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
We love him, because he first loved us.
The love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, no one has greater love than this, to lay down his life for his friends. You did that for me. You live to pray for me, and You have gone to prepare a place for me, so that where You are, I may be also. I love You because You first loved me. Let Your love hold me tonight. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
