My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

Suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps

Today’s takeaway: Follow Jesus' example today by serving others, forgiving freely, and bearing their burdens.

Even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister

Whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.

Jesus of Nazareth … went about doing good

Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

The meekness and gentleness of Christ

In lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.

Be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, You did not come to be served, but to serve and to give Your life. You went about doing good. Even on the cross You prayed, Father, forgive them. You left me an example so I would follow in Your steps. Help me bear someone else's burden today, and treat others as more important than myself, with Your meekness and gentleness. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
