Morning Prayer for June 13

About 2–3 minutes · 8 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

Abide in me, and I in you.

Today’s takeaway: Stay joined to Jesus, because the life you now live comes from Him living in you.

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

If Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard

Little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, I want to abide in You and have You abide in me. In my flesh there is no good thing, and some mornings I say with Paul, O wretched man that I am. But I thank God through You. I am crucified with Christ, and yet I live; it is You who live in me. Keep me grounded and settled in the faith today, walking as You walked. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
