Morning Prayer for June 1
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness
Today’s takeaway: Be patient and kind with others, just as God is patient and merciful with you.
The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth
Walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love
Be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
The wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
Charity suffereth long, and is kind
In due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
Prayer
LORD God, You are merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness. You have been so patient with me. Grow that same fruit in me today: patience, gentleness, and kindness. Help me bear with others in love, to be tenderhearted and forgiving, as You forgave me in Christ. Like a farmer waiting for the rain, let me be patient, and not grow weary in doing good. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
