Morning Prayer for July 3
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
If children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ
Today’s takeaway: In Christ you are God's child and heir, sharing in all that belongs to Jesus.
If ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God
Thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will
Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me
He that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Prayer
Father, what manner of love You have given me, that I should be called Your child. I am no longer a servant but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. You adopted me according to the good pleasure of Your will. Jesus asked that I would be with Him and see His glory. Help me overcome today and hold fast to the end. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
