Morning Prayer for July 29

About 2–3 minutes · 10 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down

Today’s takeaway: Long for Jesus to come, because He has promised He is coming soon.

Make haste, my beloved, and be thou like to a roe or to a young hart upon the mountains of spices.

We ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

Bow thy heavens, O LORD, and come down: touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.

This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

It shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

That blessed hope, … the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ

Our conversation is in heaven

Prayer

Lord Jesus, some mornings I pray with Isaiah, Oh that You would rend the heavens and come down. All creation groans, and I groan too. You are coming back. Until then, let me live today with my heart in heaven and my hands busy with the work You have given me here. Come, Lord Jesus. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
