Morning Prayer for July 2

About 2–3 minutes · 6 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

This is the ordinance of the passover: There shall no stranger eat thereof

Today’s takeaway: Once you were an outsider, but through Christ you now belong to God's household.

We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.

Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

At that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, … But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. … For he is our peace, who hath made both one, … Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace

Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God

If any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, no stranger could eat the Passover. I was once without Christ, a stranger to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But You brought me near by Your blood, and I am no longer a stranger. You stand at the door and knock, and You have come in to eat with me. Let me share this day with You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
