Morning Prayer for July 18
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
He calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
Today’s takeaway: The Lord knows those who are His, so make sure your faith is real, not just words.
The foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: … depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
The LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.
Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm
The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
Prayer
Good Shepherd, You call Your own sheep by name and lead them out. The Lord knows those who are His. I do not want to be one who calls You Lord but is never known by You. I want to truly know You and be known. You have engraved me on the palms of Your hands. Set me as a seal on Your heart. You know the way I take today. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
