Morning Prayer for July 16

About 2–3 minutes · 9 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

Ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation.

Today’s takeaway: Every believer is a priest to God, called to offer praise and good works.

Thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests

Ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light

Ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God

Priests of God and of Christ

Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

The temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, You were slain and redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every nation, and You have made us kings and priests. I am part of a royal priesthood today. Let me offer the sacrifice of praise continually, the fruit of lips that give thanks to Your name. I am Your workmanship, created for good works. Help me walk in them today. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
