Morning Prayer for July 15
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Today’s takeaway: Do God's will gladly today, as the angels do in heaven.
Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.
I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
To him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Prayer
Father, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and in me today. The angels do Your commandments and listen to Your voice. Jesus came not to do His own will but Yours, even when it meant the cup. If I know what is good and do not do it, it is sin. Make me a doer and not only a hearer, and renew my mind. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
