Morning Prayer for July 14

About 2–3 minutes · 10 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

Today’s takeaway: What fills your heart will come out in your words, so fill it with Christ.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue

The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment. The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

We cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

I believed, therefore have I spoken

Whosoever … shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

With the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Prayer

Father, out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. So keep my heart with all diligence today, and let the word of Christ dwell in me richly. Death and life are in the power of the tongue; let my words give life. I believed, and so I speak. Give me courage to confess Christ before others, as He has promised to confess me before You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
