Morning Prayer for January 27
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
Ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
Today’s takeaway: Jesus, who had no sin, took yours, so live today for Him.
God, … Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, … Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high
He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, … But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you
The love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, You appeared to take away my sins, and in You there is no sin. You are the brightness of the Father's glory, and You purged our sins by Yourself. I was redeemed not with silver or gold but with Your precious blood. Let Your love control me today, so I live for You and not for myself. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
