Morning Prayer for January 25
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
The righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe
Today’s takeaway: You are made right with God by Christ's righteousness, not your own.
He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us
Who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour
I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith
Prayer
Father, Your righteousness comes to all who believe, by faith in Jesus Christ. He was made sin for me, who knew no sin, so that I could be made righteous in Him. He became a curse to redeem me from the curse. You saved me by Your mercy, not by my works. Let me stop polishing my own record and rest in His. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
