Morning Prayer for January 16
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
It pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell
Today’s takeaway: All the fullness of God is in Jesus, and in Him you have everything you need.
The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.
Hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come
By him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him
Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power
Of his fulness have all we received
Prayer
Father, it pleased You that all fullness should dwell in Christ. You gave Him a name above every name, and every knee will bow to Him. All things were made by Him and for Him. And I am complete in Him. I do not need to find my fullness anywhere else today. Let me draw from His fullness, grace upon grace. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
